We are looking for the perfect CFO to help acquire and manage financial resources to grow our rapidly-expanding business. Here’s a bit more about what you’ll be doing:

Financial Planning & Management

  • Assume primary responsibility for budgeting, budget control and monitoring (B2A), and reporting to the Board

  • Cash is king. Ensure Zest is always on top with cash

  • Lead our fundraising efforts and assume priority responsibility for investor relationships

Financial Operations: We are fair in our dealings with our customers, staff and vendors.

  • Revenues: champion revenue assurance and ensure proper revenue accounting (earned value). Collaborate with our pricing team to optimize prices for maximum revenues across business lines. Recommend enhancement opportunities in existing and new business lines.

  • Cost optimization: minimize our financial exposure, maximize our cash position

  • Build systems to optimize for regular financial transactions including billing, deductions, taxes, performance bonuses, benefits, pensions, captive insurance, payroll, etc.

  • Oversee financial reporting including annual audits; ensure Zest complies with regulatory and statutory requirements

  • Oversee management of Zest’s fixed assets and manage the relationships with our vendors

While we value culture and competency over certificates and experience, we expect you to:

  • Have excelled at a first degree; Accounting/Finance certifications help

  • Demonstrate 5+ years experience in any Finance role

  • Demonstrate strong data manipulation and analytics abilities; budgeting, project management and earned value analysis experience helps; understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS help

Service Delivery: Our customers deserve the best service

  • Champion service quality, sustaining above 90% Customer Experience Rating

  • Keep your team of 20 service workers at 100% reliability

  • Plan, schedule and manage your team to optimize labor utilization – not less than 70% monthly

  • Improve existing service delivery systems toward achieving Zest’s overall goals

People Development: Our people (Zestars) are our greatest asset

  • Support the development of Zestars’ skills through development-focused performance management

  • Support Zest Academy in closing skill gaps through training and assessment

  • Mentor Zestars toward personal and career development, and excellent performance

Customer Acquisition & Retention: Our company is in rapid growth

  • Develop and deliver customer acquisition targets for your team, especially through cross-selling

  • Take care of the Customer; ensure customer complaints are resolved with alacrity

  • Have excelled at a first degree; project management certifications help

  • Demonstrate 5+ years experience managing 15 or more people in an operations or service-related role; experience working in construction, cleaning, or hospitality service roles helps

  • Demonstrate strong data manipulation and analytics abilities
